Number of electorates[edit]

I changed the number of North Island electorates from forty seven to fifty because after accounting for population growth, the South Island quota (of taking the South Island population and dividing by sixteen) will result in an electorate size of approximately 65,443. This means that, estimating the North Island's population at 3,330,000 there will be fifty North Island electorates. The number of Maori electorates may also grow if more Maori move to the Maori electoral roll. 09:02, 14 November 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.31.195 (talk)

While your calculations might be correct, electorate boundaries won't be shifted until after the 2011 census - this work won't be completed before the election and so the boundary changes will take effect in 2014. 2011 will use the same boundaries as 2008. Cabinet reshuffle[edit]

Given that the scope of the article is the 50th Parliament, shouldn't the Members section show not just who holds positions right now, but who has held those positions during the term of this parliament? Schwede66 06:15, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
