Hyperspace[edit]

Isn't an A-wing also seen coming out of hyperspace in the battle of Endor?

There were at least four. This picture shows four A-wings viewed from the bridge of the Home One immediately after the Rebel fleet arrived at Endor. They couldn't have been launched and joined the formation so quickly; they traveled through hyperspace. Rogue 9 20:42, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

First appearance[edit]

I'm pretty sure that an A-wing appears in Episode IV, A New Hope, during the preparatives before the attack of the Death Star at Yavin (in the hangar, while the ships are checked before take-off) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.135.3.220 (talk) 17:07, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No. The designs were first created for RotJ. Star Wars had a limited design budget; RotJ, laden with big backing, allowed for the creation of a huge variety of new craft, including the A-wing. --EEMIV (talk) 00:40, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
