Requested move[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page, per the discussion below; I suspect that if it were proposed to move the other highways to the full names, those requests would succeed. Dekimasuよ! 04:14, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Asian Highway 45AH45 – Consistent with other Asian Hightways Ryan Liu (talk) 09:45, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support as stated above Gregkaye 12:53, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose proposal ; instead Alternate rename all the other articles to match this one. "AH" is opaque, and we've expanded many acronym titles on Wikipedia for clarity. AH has a variety of uses, of particular interest is designating years anno hegirae, so is this the year 45 in the AH calendar? (like AD 2000, BCE 1000, BP 5000, etc) -- 65.94.171.225 (talk) 06:40, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as per the previous post, and this acronym would be opaque to most people, including those in the countries concerned unless they have an interest in international roads. Imc (talk) 19:10, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Why does this article have long name only?[edit]

Other Asian Highway articles have short name like AH1, AH2, AH3, ... , AH374. See Category:Asian Highway Network. --ㅂㄱㅇ (talk) 13:08, 20 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
