Action of Dissatisfied CitizensANO 2011 – The political party is just named "ANO" and sources following the election seem to be calling it ANO or ANO 2011 (e.g. BBC FT reuters). As a similar case to TOP 09 I think that should be this article's title. - filelakeshoe (t / c) 11:15, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

  • Support, they are known as ANO or ANO 2011. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 12:02, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
On a lighter note: The party is often being compared to Věci veřejné, a party that emerged before the last election in 2010 and succeeded with the noble intention "to fight against political corruption". They failed and broke up shortly after they got into parliament - corrupted from inside. Recently, I heard a joke about both the parties: "Could there be something worse than Věci veřejné? - Ano." --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 12:15, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Pro-Europeanism

Babis, ANO's leader, said that the Czech people don't want the Euro or more EU-integration, and thus his party doesn't want those things either [1]. Although Babis/ANO doesn't hold that many Eurosceptic views and can't really be described as such, describing them as a pro-EU party is misleading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tulipaness (talkcontribs) 21:26, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

I agree. I think Soft Euroscepticism is much more accurate for ANO 2011. The party wants to remain in the European Union but is critical of aspects of the organisation and seeks to halt any further integration into it. It has also been critical of organisations associated with the European Union, such the euro. Helper201 (talk) 07:00, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
@Helper201: I strongly disagree with your last edit [1]. ANO 2011 is clearly Pro-European, except some differences in monetary policy. Your very strong claim that his party is only eurosceptic party in the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe is very serious proposition and you even not added any very credible sources. You remained there sources that do not say anything like that and they even deny it. Until time that this stance wouldn't be substantiated by serious sources, I am removing the ideological stance that mentions the attitude towards the European Union of this party. --ThecentreCZ (talk) 18:30, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Anti-Babiš images?

Is it reasonable to include images of anti-Babiš sentiment and protests without explaining or even mentioning these sentiments in the text of the article?

For example, would it be consistent with Wikipedia's standards if I added an image of anti-Trudeau protests on the page for Liberal Party of Canada without explaining or even mentioning the protests in the text of the article?

This seems unreasonable to me, and I believe that either the images should be removed or an explanation of anti-Babiš sentiment be added to the article.

However, I'm completely new to posting on Wikipedia, I apologize if I don't understand something.

"KSČ member and StB agent Andrej Babiš"

This phrase just sounds ridiculous in English. It was probably a Czech user who really hated him. Both the KSČ and the StB don't exist anymore. Even if you want to include the alleged attributes, you should add the word "former". However, I don't find the fact relevant to the creation of ANO. It's only relevant in the article about Babiš himself. --2001:16B8:315A:7200:5C1C:A05E:3894:C4F8 (talk) 04:29, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
