Notability tag removed[edit]

The notability tag was removed because the article meets at least two of the notability requirements for books. Additional reviews were added to confirm this position.

1) The book has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the book itself, with at least some of these works serving a general audience. This includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, other books, television documentaries and reviews. Some of these works should contain sufficient critical commentary to allow the article to grow past a simple plot summary.

Francis Francis and A Book on Angling is widely quoted and referenced in a great many, especially historically oriented, angling literature. The fact that it was published in multiple editions--both British and US over a 70 year period speaks to its notability.

5) The book's author is so historically significant that any of his or her written works may be considered notable.

Francis, Francis is a widely quoted Angling author. Any book written by Francis would be notable--He actually wrote a number of other angling and sporting books.
