Plot Summary[edit]
The plot summary fails to adequately convey the fact that the core of the plot, and most of the movie, centers around Stanley getting hit on the head and turning into Lord Paddington, an Oxford Professor who had disappeared several years earlier. Most of the humor is Lord Paddington lording it over Ollie, who get madder and madder. Not sure how to fix it.
There's a great line shortly after Lord Paddington gets hit on the head and becomes Stanley again: Ollie: "Genius? Why I've known this man for years and he's the dumbest person I've ever met. INCORRECT ENTRY: Peter Cushing does not play Johnson nor is he the actor who pretends to be the dean. The entry that he is, is incorrect. In the scene where Johnson says, "Snitches", Cushing is standing next to him on the viewer's left. According to this website, http://www.petercushing.com/PCFPS/1939%20A%20Chump%20at%20Oxford/ Peter Cushing played a character named Jones.
