Plot summary betrays writer's own prejudices that he attributes to feminist writer, Maryse Holder, as his own. For example, that Holder regarded the Mexican men as "nothing more than the beasts of burden for her own sexual pleasure" is such a tortured mixed metaphor. How could it even be metaphorically, much less literally true? Author of plot summary shows own scathingly judgmental and dismissive (and surely racial/cultual) prejudice. Rather, Maryse Holder should be identified as a courageous explorer and analyzer of Mexican machismo, who risked her life to live, tell the truth.----
