Wider distribution in the mid-20th century?[edit]

I'm not entirely sure, but I have pretty distinct memories that we had Monk's Bread regularly at home when I was growing up in mid-Michigan in the 50's and 60's. When I look at the packaging online, it definitely rings a bell.

So I would suggest that the statement in the article that distribution was not always limited to New York State.

Perhaps someone who has access to sources on this would dig into it?
