Untitled[edit]

In "Safety of abdominal exercises", some exercises appear in more than one quarter. Doesn't that contradict?

Roman chair and AB king pro[edit]

Please include the roman chair exercise and ab king pro. Ab king pro may be more efficient, yet is commercial. In the commercial they said it resembled the roman chair (which is already much more efficient than similar exercices). Roman chair is not commercial and may be cheaper too.

People performs the Captain's chair exercise differently to the Roman Chair. --86.25.0.182 (talk) 04:03, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead and develop this yourself. Create a user ID, follow WP guidelines, quote sources and you're in. Kortoso (talk) 20:16, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Respiratory problems[edit]

Does anyone know whether having a defribillator installed and doing abdominal exercice increases the chance of repiratory problems. I did abdominal exercices for a while with a defibrillator and had severe problems with breathing (every day during the entire course of the day, for several months). My practictioner said that the energy pattern around the defibrillator was indeed disturbed. Include in article if you have more info; i'd like to keep anyone from having to deal with the same problems as I had.

Types of abdominal exercises and effectiveness[edit]

CORE?[edit]

This looks like an acronym, but I don't really think it is. Any sources for the use of this term in connection with abdominal muscles? Kortoso (talk) 18:38, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind; I got it.

Would these be good bibliographies to add more information to the topic?[edit]

"Abdominal Exercise" paragraph[edit]

Mayers, May R. (1928). "Abdominal Exercises". The American Journal of Nursing. 28 (4): 363–364. doi:10.2307/3409357. ISSN 0002-936X. Not up to date, this information is from 1928. The entire transition of the paragraph is basic, need to use better transitional words other than "first, second, third, fourth." "Second, you can lay down with your hands on the side of your body and position a book on your stomach and raise your stomach up and down." Is author talking about leg lifts? Each 10 exercises talked about in the paragraph should have their own paragraphs so author can talk about each exercises in detail and coherently. JexyAnN (talk) 02:34, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Types" Paragraph[edit]

This section needs to acknowledge where the information is coming from. Also could use more information itself. What types of other routines could be used for this activity? Are there different routines within the different disciplines? 808TR777 (talk) 04:19, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What paragraph or section are you specifically referring to that falls under "types"? Just for clarification and to look into it. Jayhy15 (talk) 04:32, 3 November 2020 (UTC)jayhy15[reply]
