Red links[edit]

Andykatib, every MP that we've ever had in New Zealand has an article. So if you've got red links in your list then you've got the spelling wrong. Schwede66 10:28, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Schwede66, thanks. Will check them out and repair the redlinks. Will also need help with the template because there was a third category of absent MPs. I don't know how to fix that one. Andykatib 10:48, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Andykatib: Do you still need help? There are now three categories. The third category shows as abstained, but I would say that being absent is something different. Wouldn't "Absent" be the better heading? Schwede66 19:46, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like someone has fixed the box. I think "Absent" will be a better heading than "Abstained" because they were simply not present and did not formally abstain. Andykatib 22:01, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No longer a Bill. Received Royal assent.[edit]

This bill is now officially a law, having received royal assent. So this article needs to change to reflect that.[1] Gorillainacoupe (talk) 01:20, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Gorillainacoupe. I've moved (renamed) the article. Feel free to now edit it and make the appropriate changes. Schwede66 05:07, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The page name needs to have "2019" changed to "2020" and the infobox needs to be sorted out and I seem to be unable to do that for some reason.Gorillainacoupe (talk) 07:42, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It did say “2019” in the legislation, though, which surprised me. Legal isn’t my area of expertise and I went with what I found. Schwede66 14:52, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hazhk, can you please point us to where in the act it says 2020? All I can find is this. Schwede66 19:57, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In the parliament link shown if you scroll to the bottom it says Act: Abortion Legislation Act 2020. It makes sense as the act has only become law in 2020 Gorillainacoupe (talk) 23:30, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Also "Status:" needs to be changed to "Current Legislation" but I couldn't do that for some reasonGorillainacoupe (talk) 23:32, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly my understanding was that it would be named "Abortion Legislation Act 2020" if only because it became an Act in 2020. --Hazhk (talk) 07:30, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Party's stances on embrassing new abortion law[edit]

I wanted to find out what was the position of TOP party but I was not able to find any concrete position. I read elsewhere that TOP didn't take clarified position and took the this more as conscience subject but I had a feeling Party's community/background was more pro-choice, and I'm not concerned that's something proved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.182.194.74 (talk) 22:06, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
