I intend to translate and adapt the fr wiki page underneath if necessary to expand the English page and make it O.K. I really do not understand the fuss about one of the few genuine inventor in watchmaking. this is no pubicity and I do not understand why in the first place it had been deleted, without further consideration, by people who apparently have absolutely no knowledge about the watch industry. Just about time to redress this fact.

Appreciating your help and assistance instead in future, and not a petty arbitory censorship. ;-) -Best regards

The publications of academic historian Joseph Flores and prominent horological journalist Gregory Pons are unfortunately not translated from French to English. Otherwise it would help to follow through the evidence they supply. In 2010, both demonstrated why all traces from 1952 and before, allegedly pointing to Perrelet as The inventor of the automatic watches have to be take with a pinch of salt.

The article's reference 1 citing evidence that Perrelet supplied the maison Dubois seriously comes in question after Mr. Flores visited their archives and found several instances of the last name Perrelet, with different spellings and first names. There is no evidence that it was the same Abraham-Louis.

This article should be edited to reflect the fact that Perrelet can no longer be considered The inventor of the automatic watch.
