Susan Fitkin was my grandmother's, (Emma Norris Master,1875-1970), sister and I grew up on the stories of her and Uncle A. E.'s remarkable achievements. I have always been struck with the fact that Uncle A. E. sold his utilities 15 days before the stock market crashed. Insider info or a higher power? Sure wish Uncle A. E. was still around to advise us. I met their daughter, Marie Louise, once when I was a young child and was fascinated by her adventures in Africa.

You are to be complemented on your very detailed and accurate account of their lives.

You're welcome. Have you seen article on Mary Hooper? She is their daughter. I plan to create Susan Norris Fitkin article sometime. It will be a large article, as there are many sources to consult. I have been in contact with Mary Hooper's daughter in Oregon, and received nice book of poems by Susan Hall Norris, the mother of Susan Norris Fitkin and Emma Norris.smjwalsh (talk) 00:20, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
