Correct name[edit]

There have been several recent edits changing the name in the infobox and/or in the lead paragraph, to "Achraf Hakimi Mouh" or "Achraf Kumar Hakimi" this cited source appears to support "Mouh", no source that I have checked seems to support "Kumar". There has been a request for page protection, but I am reluctant to impose protection withotu a clear consensus on the corect name. In any case there seems to be only a single IP making this change, so blocking after warnigns should be sufficient.

@Mattythewhite, HalfLifeKiss, Dl2000, and Mediocre Legacy: you have all been involved in ewditing this article recently. Can you supply sources, or indicate which currently cited sources shou;ld be relied on to determine the name to display? DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:58, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the sources: https://www.transfermarkt.com/achraf-hakimi/profil/spieler/398073 https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/player/achraf-hakimi/profile — Preceding unsigned comment added by HalfLifeKiss (talkcontribs) 19:10, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Transfermarkt is not generally reliable as a source, but club/FIFA sources seem sufficient to indicate Mouh and may be suffficient for a full name. However, common name generally seems to be "Achraf Hakimi" so that should continue to be the article title e.g. AS, Deutsche Welle. Dl2000 (talk) 04:44, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

International Career[edit]

Perhaps add that Morocco reached the semifinals of Qatar 2022 as well — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:4040:5036:1300:3491:33C0:DBE4:DF15 (talk) 00:38, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Club Ownership[edit]

Hakimi is an Inter Milan player who's reportedly in the process to be transferred to Paris Saint German. Why is he regarded as a Real Madrid player here?

Thanks for pointing this out, I've reverted the changes. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:21, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality[edit]

Is he just Moroccan or Spanish-Moroccan? He was born and raised in Spain, pretty sure he's also a Spanish citizen.--RM (Be my friend) 19:15, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If at least one of your parents has a Moroccan citizenship, you will automatically have one also. For that reason, almost all immigrants of Moroccan heritage living in Europe for example have Moroccan citizeship. Especially, since it is very difficult to reject it.
So, Hakimi was born in Spain and has through it a Spanish citizenship & at at the same time a Moroccan one.
Additionally, Nationality and Citizenship may not be neccesarily the same thing. Keksfresser12 (talk) 00:06, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Achraf Hakimi[edit]

He is widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the world. 185.252.100.149 (talk) 18:43, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Assets in mother's name[edit]

The massive deletions that Ashraf Hakimi had placed most of his assets under his mother's name is unwarranted. This is all over the news.[1] 2601:C4:C300:A210:F857:9C07:2C9:F689 (talk) 20:17, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

literally cites a news article that calls it a hoax to make the claim it's "in dispute"? It's just wrong and doesn't belong here. 2A02:8108:8200:23C9:10B1:9B24:8BDE:32C5 (talk) 00:54, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

actual club[edit]

I have the impression that Hakimi's current club is still PSG, in any case, I have not seen any information about Hakimi and Brighton & Hove Albion F.C.

Could someone check and possibly correct, I don't know much about soccer. Valentin AUGER (talk) 20:00, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
