Spain vs Catalonia[edit]

I've noticed that there's some back-and-forth about whether to identify Traoré's birthplace as Spain or Catalonia. I don't have a personal preference either way, but it seems like, until/unless Catalonia is an independent nation-state, there is a FIFA-sanctioned Catalan national team or we're speaking specifically about someone's Catalan origins, it makes sense to use Spain, especially in the infobox. It is standard practice to include regions with the place of birth in the prose. Nobody here is trying to claim that Catalonia is an independent nation state! Mattythewhite (talk) 13:58, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:36, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Chris Bouery Please provide a valid source that verifies the information that you want to see included in the article. The last I saw is that the player is in Barcelona is undergoing his physical. He is not a Barcelona player until he has signed and the player is registered with the league. Adeletron 3030 (talkedits) 18:36, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is more gramtical[edit]

On 29 January 2022, Barcelona signed Traoré on a six-month loan with the option to make the deal permanent. He returned to Wolves after this option was not taken.

that doesn’t make sense it needs to be reworded to was taken Crneale78 (talk) 00:01, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
