Mono Tilt Rotor background[edit]

I noticed you've edited the subject topic. I'd like to point out that the term "Mono Tiltrotor (MTR)" is specific to a US Government funded design. To be clear, the title of this wiki article should be changed to Mono Tilt Rotor - Rotary Ring, so as to not be ambiguous. An even better approach might be to have a high level topic of Mono Tilt Rotor, and then disambiguation including at least the following:

(1) Flying Machine patent USPTO 1,775,861 to George Lehberger in 1930.

(2) Mono Tiltrotor (MTR) - Cargo Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS): subject of US Government funded research from 2004 to present, see www.baldwintechnology.com (Gov't reports, papers, and patents).

(3) Mono-Tilt-Rotor Rotary-Wing (the currently published wiki article).

I've moved the page to Aerocopter Sarus, as that is the name of the specific design being discussed. I agree that there should be a gereral article about the various Mono tiltrotor concepts, and a separate one about the specific MTR program, though I'm not certain what the best name for that one would be. - BillCJ (talk) 20:59, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
