On 11 May 2018, it was proposed that this article be moved from Air Bud (series) to Air Bud (film series). The result of the discussion was no consensus.

Production History[edit]

If someone could add a section on this that would be really illuminating. Some questions to consider: 1) Were all films in the series filmed well in advance? Series of Broad Revisions[edit]

Fixed info box to reflect franchise
Added more references
Removed Treasure Buddies from the film list (it hasn't been officially announced yet).

Treasure Buddies[edit]

I removed Treasure Buddies from the list of upcoming films because there was not a reliable source to confirm the release. There have been rumors that Treasure Buddies will be released; however, there needs to be more information released about the film before we list it within this article. I think that news about the release date would give a good reason to include it. I don't think that it is incorrect to include it now, but I feel that it would be more appropriate to include once more information is released. See my edit in agreeement with you. Shortly afterward the material was put back in. There is a short trailer for Treasure on youtube that I found after I made my edit. Edit wars are not fun and this article is not worth the bother for me. Your turn to do what you want. I'm almost 100% sure they are coming out with this film, but the issue is reliable sources. A YouTube video is not a reliable source, and no credible sources have reported on the film. Pup Stars[edit]

This page actually should be retitled Air Bud (franchise) seeing as it actually now has (and should have) all the films listed under the same banner. No, this isn't an Air Bud Entertainment page, this is a page for the Air Bud series and the spin-offs directly connected to it. You are trying to make a legitimate connection that all these films are connected due to being produced by a company that is using the same name as the film because that's where the success of the film comes from and what they're likely using to get people to watch their other films, so I'm tempted to remove the non-Air Bud because you're basically making something a credible addition when it is not. Again, this page is for Air Bud the sequels/spin-offs within its own series, not any time the Air Bud Entertainment company decides to spawn other series and trying to make money by advertising itself as an Air Bud movie, because it is not. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 13:19, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No consensus. Don't see general agreement in this debate to grant this requested move. Might be a good idea to look into the suggestion to comply with the guideline, because there is no dab page. This page and Air Bud (film) appear to be the only "Air Buds" presently on Wikipedia other than partial title matches, which means that Air Bud (franchise) is currently unnecessary disambiguation. Air Bud (series) → Air Bud (film series) – This page's title really isn't as clear as it needs to be. When it's a 'film series' it should be classified as such, however unfortunately for everyone involved - the film series rights were sold off and now a studio uses the successful Air Bud name as a means to produce and sell less successful straight-to-video releases. Because of all of this, given the page's layout - this particular page should be renamed "Air Bud (film series)" only including the Air Bud films, while a sub-section titled "Spin-offs" could be made to reference to "Air Buddies" film series. In addition, a separate page focusing on the Air Bud Entertainment company could be made where all other releases are listed. Right now it's a giant mess, but input as to how we resolve this page's issues is definitely and obviously needed!
