"Civil Servant"[edit]

Mr Davey is not currently a civil servant - the BBC is a public corporation, and as such its employees, though "public servants" are not "Civil Servants". See http://www.civilservant.org.uk/information-definitions.html ("ther public servants, but not civil servants, work for public corporations such as the BBC, Channel 4, the Bank of England, the communications regulator Ofcom, the Civil Aviation Authority, British Nuclear Fuels, and the British Waterways Board, who run the canals etc."), www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/medianews/article4219187.ece ("Mr Davey is a former civil servant..."), http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/radio4/entries/5a8c46ed-6c0a-4994-89a7-8cf120dd756b ("It’s a formidable task for the former civil servant and head of Arts Council England."). As such, should the title of the article be modified?

What about "public servant"? Or simply "administrator"? Or, given that the other Alan Davey is not as prominent as this one, could we get rid of the parentheses altogether? Syek88 (talk) 22:22, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

BBC Radio 3 controller?[edit]

Should "civil servant" be changed to "BBC Radio 3 controller" in the article's page name and short description? JezGrove (talk) 16:04, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
