Place of Birth?[edit]

The infobox and article state he was born in Ashkirk, however his official parliamentary page says that he was born in Edinburgh. Which is it? --Mais oui! (talk) 08:07, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Scots language and Glasgow Uni[edit]

If I am correct, Mr Allan was the first student in the history of Glasgow University to write his degree entirely in Scots (other than those papers he wrote in Gaelic). I understand that this was made possible by Scots being recognised as "a variety of English" by the University authorities. (79.190.69.142 (talk) 15:37, 15 January 2012 (UTC))[reply]
