Knighthood[edit]

According to Post-nominal letters#Examples, "A Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire is authorised to use the post-nominal KBE, e.g. "Sir Terry Wogan KBE DL" (DL indicating he was Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire)." This means that he should be listed as KBE, Dennisdoby. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:06, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

He has not been made Knight Commander. As stated on the official honours list, he is a Knight Bachelor. Knights Bachelor are styled "Sir" but have no post-nominal. Cook has a CBE post-nominal by virtue of his previous appointment as a Commander in 2017. Cyril Washbrook (talk) 23:13, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
