Instead of having a edit war, Rebecca can you explain why are you reverting this simple statement of fact?

... On May 13, 2009, Sink announced her intention to run for Governor. Apparently, Sink will face urban designer and policy analyst Michael E. Arth in the Democratic primary on August 24, 2010. Whoever wins the primary will most likely face Attorney General Bill McCollum, who is running on the Republican ticket.

...or this section comprised of well-referenced fact. It is not libelous, untrue, or non-sourced. If you don't want to discuss it, then we should seek mediation from other editors.

Allegations of SBA Mismanagement[edit]

The Florida State Board of Administration (SBA) manages pension funds for 1 million current and retired Florida teachers, public employees, and their families. It also invests money for 800 school districts and state and local government entities. The SBA also manages the lottery, the hurricane disaster fund, and other funds. Sink, besides being the Chief Financial Officer for the State of Florida also functions as the treasurer on the board of trustees for the State Board of Administration (SBA). Governor Charlie Crist and Attorney General Bill McCollum are also on this board of trustees.[1]

Despite 39 audits dating back to 2000 warning of risky, complex, unregulated investments involving leveraged funds, the SBA lost approximately one-third of the fund ($61.4 billion) between July 2008 and January 2009. Nineteen of these audits warning of risk were issued while Crist, Sink, and McCollum were in office. A November 2007 audit revealed that the SBA had $2.2 billion in shaky securities. News of this leaked out and hundreds of panicked school districts and local government agencies withdrew billions of dollars before a freeze was ordered by the trustees.[2] [3] This scandal echoed and surpassed an earlier scandal with the SBA involving Governor Jeb Bush in 2002 when $281 million of SBA funds were lost when Enron Corporation went backrupt. .[4]

Crist, Sink, and McCollum have been severely criticized for not pushing for reforms or openness in regards the secretive, misleading practices of the SBA. Sink's role as both Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Trustees of the SBA make her especially susceptible to criticism.[5]

As a member of the Florida Cabinet elected to statewide office, biographical information is relevant to an encyclopedia. The copy has a neutral point of view and states nothing libelous or potentially libelous.[reply]

Read the section at the bottom page. I don't care if it's David freaking Duke, you can't add half an article's worth of criticism sections unless you've got a really good source that they're primarily known for that criticism (i.e. that it's the sort of thing that's going to mentioned in just about any article on them). i work in IT for the department, and it was seen as a major move on her part by the nerds in our shop, and statewide (by those who were watching) as (jeez can one say anything without it being POV? heh) it was seen as a waste of money as the time passed, the consulting fees increased, and the deliverables never materialized.

Undue weight and tone issues[edit]

This article seems to have significant undue weight issues and tone issues (namely it's very negative). All editors are reminded that all biographies must conform to the biographies of living people policy. In addition, I'm very concerned about some of the citations being used on this page, particularly miamiherald.typepad.com. It's a blog, which is generally not seen as a reliable source. The miamiherald material is "primary source" where it shows official documents -- the actual site is RS as a newspaper vetted set of columns and is not a blog per se. [6] is fairly clear on this, meaning it fills WP:RS and WP:V pretty well. The issue is the primary source document. BLP requires that we be exceedingly careful about such stuff, and I hasten to be consistent in my position that material which has not been acted on by any enforcement group should not be given excess weight. the "ethics complaints" section ought reasonably be "Sink faces two formal ethics complaints as a result of the plane usage." in the prior section. Section, Abortion[edit]

"Abortion" to Reproductive freedom. Abortion is a hot button issue which supposes that someone is pro-abortion or anti-abortion. Alex Sink has never stated she is anti-abortion but has been endorsed for her "right to privacy", pro-choice stand of family planning which may include contraception as well. This right to privacy is guaranteed by the the U.S. Constitution and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. Noles1984 (talk) 14:23, 3 September 2010 (UTC), Review editor.[reply]

I agree, but I think the wording of this section could really use some refining. It is certainly not an objective statement that the implied right to privacy in the 3rd amendment applies to abortion (atleast, not as a sole justifier). 2010 Election, Brian P. Moore[edit]

A different, but related issue re the 2010 election, is that the chart lists Scott's election as a Republican Gain. In the context of Crist changing his party affiliation to Independent midway through his campaign for the U.S. Senate, this is accurate. However, Crist was elected as a Republican in 2006 and was a Republican governor from 2007 until early 2010. This should be considered a Republican hold, possibly with a text notation that Crist ended his Republican affiliation more than three fourths of the way into his term. This is the citation in Crist's Wikipedia profile for the affiliation change: ^ "Crist’s independent run draws praise – and scorn".Orlando Sentinel, April 30, 2010.

"Chinese descent"[edit]

Was added as a category, and removed. Alex Sink has repeatedly mentioned her descent from Chang and Eng Bunker, but the rationale here seems to be that they themselves were "ethnic Chinese." Recent discussions on WP:BLP and categorization appear to deprecate such "ethnic descent" categories as being improper in a BLP. Collect (talk) 11:43, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
