Hoax by now-journalist Kieran Morris[edit]

A British journalist has disclosed at length how as a teenager, he inflated Alexander López's statistics on Wikipedia to dupe The Times into publishing that he had received a very valuable contract. This may or may not have influenced his subsequent real-life signing by Houston Dynamo. Have Morris's 'contributions' been removed? Declan Steele (talk) 10:53, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Based on that article, I have removed the Olimpia stats and added info about how the Wigan transfer rumor was a hoax with that article. FixLopez (talk) 00:21, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
