The newspaper archive at the University of Oregon returns quite bounty of hits on a "Alicel" search. I wanted to help resolve the AfD issue and thought a good sifting of these through many pairs of eyes could yield a few nuggets of notoriety.

Hot diggety! I hoping the history of the platting would turn up! I have informal criteria for the notability of podunks that includes it having "enough" of the following, in no particular order: church, school, store, cemetery, newspaper, post office, reliable source for former population, station, platting, disincorporation, and yes possibly a grain elevator.
