Potential GA nomination?[edit]

@Soaper1234: Not sure what you think about Alicia Munroe being put up for a GA nomination? The article most definitely looks as though it could reach GA status. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 12:09, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@ElectrodeandtheAnode: I suppose there would be no harm in nominating it and seeing what can be done to improve it. Soaper1234 - talk 14:00, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
To add, I think other articles are more benefical of a GA promotion, such as Dylan Keogh, but you would have to speak to their editors. Soaper1234 - talk 14:11, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Job title[edit]

Right, so the issue over what Alicia's position is has cropped up. In the show's narrative, it has been stated that Alicia has jumped from F2 to registrar, which she can't do. She would be promoted to a CT1 doctor. However, after doing some looking about, I've found that CT doctors are sometimes referred to as registrars, but are just CT1 doctors as they haven't become speciality registrars. For more information, see Core Medical Training. However, other arguments are that the show and Alicia's name badge refer to her as a speciality registrar. So, I've come here to discuss the matter and gather a consensus on it. Soaper1234 - talk 08:51, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Soaper1234: this is a difficult one, as if the show has displayed her role on her name badge as so, it is technically what her role is. However, you are right in saying this would not be possible. In a realistic world we should not put specialty registrar as her role, but if her name badge is shown on-screen as ‘Specialty Registrar’ and she is referred to as a specialty registrar then technically we should be using that as her role. So I say use specialty registrar, even though it is not possible and unrealistic. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 17:08, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • When Lily left Alicia told Rash that she was hoping to gain the promotion to Lilys former position (regitrar).
  • Alicia's badge states she is a specialty registrar. When Lily was a CT1 Doctor she wore a badge which stated CT1 Doctor. As Alicias badge states she is a Specialty Registrar then she could be considered a registrar.
  • Casualty is a drama after all. Technically Ethan should not be a consultant as he has not had enough training, howeer, he is a consultant. Therefore, i beleive Alcia is a Specialty Registrar as all other colleages refer to her as a Registrar.
I understand in the real world she would be a CT1 Doctor, but Casualty is fictional, therefore, it has the power to make Alicia a registrar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:6074:4600:1C3E:F224:FE5D:3BE1 (talk) 19:16, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you both for your input. I'm happy with the suggested points so I'll change everything to speciality registrar. Soaper1234 - talk 13:23, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alicia now trains in peadeatric emergency medicine. This is stated on Casualty wikia as well as mentioned in the show a number of times in recent weeks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bowyer12 (talkcontribs) 07:16, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy to change this in good faith as I'm yet to watch the last two episodes. However, for the record, Casualty wikia is not considered a reliable source. Soaper1234 - talk 15:27, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Still trying to get use to Wikipedia. Learning as I go along :). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bowyer12 (talkcontribs) 19:49, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
