Request for comment Inclusion of the FM in infobox[edit]

There is zero reason for the inclusion of the FM, they have no role whatsoever in the appointment of the Presiding Officer — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:8F37:A00:5EF:91B:13B4:849A (talk) 20:10, 13 May 2021 (UTC) Also the inclusion of the monarch is bit strange also as again there have no role in the appointment of the Presiding Officer[reply]

I’ve had a brief check of Speakers of some legislatures and they all have the head of government in the infobox. It’s particularly appropriate for the PO of the Scottish Parliament to have a link to the First Minister of their tenure, due to how close the Scottish Government is linked to the Scottish Parliament. 2A00:23C5:2C01:9501:6D2F:D2F9:AC48:58CB (talk) 22:39, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The PO has no relation to the appointment whatsoever to the FM, by the same logic you may as well add the relevant PO into Nicola Sturgeons info box, but of course that would be ridiculous
Include. Per the consensuses on John Bercow and Lindsay Hoyle's talk pages. It is also against policy to revert against the consensus while discussion is ongoing per WP:CONSENSUS. Alex (talk) 23:24, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
there was no consensus on either of those pages and it’s an entirely false analogy, the PM recommends the appointment of the speaker to the queen, nothing like that happens in Scotland, also the articles where stable for years without the FM2A02:C7F:8F37:A00:28B2:303:C8D7:40E7 (talk) 23:28, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Exclude, one is responsible for maintain order in the debating chamber the other is leader of the government, they are entirely separate positions. The inclusion in the infobox gives the entirely wrong impression that the offices are linked to each other either through appointments or being answerable too. The government is accountable to the legislature and the PO chairs debates in that said legislators that’s it.92.40.192.147 (talk)
Include the First Minister should be included in the infobox because it’s used on wiki pages for other Speakers in legislatures and given how close the Scot Gov and Parl is.
it showing on other pages is not a justification WP:OTHER, and of course the parliament and government are close its a parliamentary system 2A02:C7F:8F37:A00:4969:2814:6EB6:B9F8 (talk) 20:01, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
