  • I'm sorry; I just don't see why all this is necessary. What does Snoop Dogg's having to wait ten years really have to do with this? I also don't see why STATicVapor thinks the tone isn't inappropriate. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 02:08, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
Because John Legend waited the longest between his debut on the chart till his number one single since Snoop Dogg did. That is the information that is being presented and it is an important fact. Not necessarily the Snoop Dogg part, but the fact he waited almost 10 years to get a number one single (not very common obviously). This is all covered in the source and the tone is appropriate. Please cease removing sourced content without a valid reason, efficiently stubbifying the section, that needs anything but removals. It needs expansion. STATic message me! 03:32, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
I don't recall removing the actual source... Erpert blah, blah, blah... 03:23, 22 May 2014 (UTC)

– Over 12.3 million copies sold, nominated for two Grammys and receives 65% of the pageviews - clear primary topic. None of the other topics will ever gain anywhere near as much notability as this song.[1] Unreal7 (talk) 20:05, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

  • Oppose. Hyperbole much? — MShabazz Talk/Stalk 18:17, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
    • Comment that was what I was thinking. I have no opinion on the move request though. CookieMonster755 📞 22:37, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Oppose WP:RECENTISM. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 00:22, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Oppose. No primary topic. Personally I'd think of the 1984 film, which was pretty big in its day. Unreal7, you appear to be a big music fan, but you really need to stop assuming that recent songs are always the primary topic just because they're popular at the moment. A primary topic has to be overwhelmingly what almost everybody is likely to think of when they see the article title. Not just well-known, but really, really well-known, more than anything else. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:36, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Oppose, mostly per Necrothesp. I agree that the song is very significant within the field of music. When compared to films of the same name, I am not convinced. SSTflyer 04:43, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

A lot of nerve

"Legend" has a lot of fucking nerve calling this song "All of Me". Yes, it's legal, but that's no excuse. TheScotch (talk) 12:32, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

iPhone changes?

@Cltjames: I'm wondering about this change, where you added |rowheader=true to most of the invocations of {{singlechart}}. Your edit summary says " Amended coding to work on iPhone". What does that mean, specifically? Is there some problem with the way the {{singlechart}} renders on the iPhone? (Which browser?) If so, then wouldn't it be best to fix the template itself? It's used on about 28,000 pages, so if a fix is necessary, it would be best to do it in one place, just once. -- Mikeblas (talk) 16:17, 10 October 2020 (UTC) I'm relatively new to coding and used some templates of other musicians, however the page wasn't working on my iPhone but was working on a html website, so I changed it to work for both. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cltjames (talkcontribs) 19:23, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

The Lyricist Is Unclear

The song's lyricist unclear in this article.

The article says:

  • "All of Me" is a song by American singer John Legend from his fourth studio album Love in the Future (2013). It is dedicated to Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen.
  • Single by John Legend [sidebar on the right.]
  • "All of Me" is a tender piano ballad, which was inspired by his then-fiancée, now wife, model Chrissy Teigen.[5] [Presumably John Legend is the one who was inspired.]

All of this seems to indicate the lyrics were written by John Legend.

However the sidebar at the right says:

Songwriter(s) John Stephens * Toby Gad * Justin Fredericks

Another source I see says:

   All of Me
Words and Music by John Stephens and Toby Gad [Justin Fredericks is not listed.]
   Popularized by John Legend

Can someone clarify the article?

Thanks!
