Allen review[edit]

Why is Nina Allen's review given any importance? This appears to reference a posting from a little-read blog from a largely unsuccessful author - the archived review shills for her own short-story writing near the end. I wouldn't be surprised if the addition of this review was by Ms Allen herself trying to get a little attention. Can this review be removed? 50.186.198.74 (talk) 08:13, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It was added by me, the article's author, who isn't Ms. Allen or associated with her. I thought it appropriate to include at least one critical voice, in view of our overall neutrality policy, WP:NPOV. However, this may indeed give a minority viewpoint excessive weight. What do other editors think?  Sandstein  10:37, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
NPOV doesn't mean that all opinions need to be equal and opposing, just that the article should fairly reflect opinions. Is there are notable negative commentaries they should be added, but all reviews need to abide by the rules of WP:RS Ashmoo (talk) 12:11, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sad puppies[edit]

It could be mentioned that this novel winning awards was apparently one of the things that inspired the so-called "Sad puppies"... -- AnonMoos (talk) 18:01, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
