Wait what happened to the criticism section?[edit]

Reading the current article, I felt it was more of a PR exercise than an unbiased, objective article on the singer. So I went to the talk section as I wondered whether anybody else had had the same reaction.

Apparently, they had. Apparently, there used to be a criticism section. Apparently, this had then been "balanced" by some positive remarks under the Voice section. Apparently, these are the only remarks which have survived to this day.

Perhaps I am wrong - can somebody enlighten me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sapienza (talkcontribs) 15:20, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sapienza: You're absolutely right. I was reading this article just now, inspired by the passing of Ennio Morricone and learning about his song "E Più Ti Penso", and I was wondering the same thing. I checked through the page history and it turns out that the criticism section was removed in December 2015 by Ahmad123987, who then made this edit, which was probably fair enough. An IP tried to put the criticism section back but Ahmad123987 removed it again. I've restored it in full, and removed the heading/rearranged paragraphs, along with re-adding a bit of text removed by Binksternet in 2017 (that removal makes sense to me if one just looks at the article content and not the history). Yes maybe it's a bit repetitive and long-winded (especially the last paragraph), but a section about his voice should note the criticisms made of it and its unconventional nature compared to most operatic voices, not just have fawning reviews from people who are not known for music criticism like Elizabeth Taylor. I'm not planning to come back to this article any time soon; regular editors can do what they will with my edits. Graham87 10:06, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

1982 or 1992?[edit]

The introduction talks about how much music he has recorded since 1982, but, reading the article, it seems perhaps this should be 1992? Thmazing (talk) 17:23, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

His Italian page says that he recorded an LP in 1982, but it should definitely be elaborated on in the English article. Cellina Starfire (talk) 04:56, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Name pronunciation[edit]

Not an IPA expert, but I was thinking that the IPA for Andrea's name could do with syllable markers: [anˈdrɛː.a boˈtʃɛl.li] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Isa Knu (talkcontribs) 00:20, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
