Article clean-up and content addition[edit]

There is a lot of crap online about Puharich, one concerning the water splitter - he never claimed the device had an energy net gain. The energy is already present in the water (hydrogen and oxygen) plus you need to add current to split it apart. The energy out is still less than the electrical and chemical energy combined. A good analogy would be if you set a forest on fire with a match, is the energy released in the forest fire contained within the match? His device is more efficient than Faradayian electrolysis, but it doesn't smash the laws of physics.

The Puharich family has put together a good website detailing his life.

All of that said, he was far out when compared to traditional university scientists. That is why he was so successful in his work.

POV and not encyclopedic style[edit]

"Puharich was a fearless explorer who delved deeply and with a focused intelligence into the realms of medicine, healing, psychic phenomena, human nature and paranormal abilities, often in the face of irrational criticism or ridicule from more staid scientists and physicians. What else, poor victim of every other human on earth, because they all don't understand his godlike powers? Or just the last American hero? Or Marilyn Monroe in disguise? Maybe all of the above!? Oh come on, I'll delete it until someone is able to write something more objective...even Einstein isn't praised like that on Wikipedia, eh? Eh? Phenemona Phenomena[edit]
