"Canceled" vs "cancelled"[edit]
With reference to the back-and-forth in this article's edit history, please note the following from Wikipedia:ENGVAR:
"An article on a topic that has strong ties to a particular English-speaking nation uses the appropriate variety of English for that nation."
As this is the bio of a British television producer who appears to work primarily on programmes for the BBC, it seems to me that this criterion points towards using British English here. -- Skarl 18:35, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

- I reverted your attempt at commonality because it simply didn't scan. Television shows don't, generally speaking, get "terminated". They may be cancelled or, more informally, axed, and sometimes they don't get recommissioned (the polite way of putting it). As for being the first major contributor, let me quote the guideline in full:
"In the early stages of writing an article, the variety chosen by the first major contributor to the article should be used, unless there is reason to change it based on strong national ties to the topic."

The article states:
