Fair use rationale for Image:NS logo.jpg[edit]

Image:NS logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Length of 2011 accident section.[edit]

I am a little concerned witht the weight given to the 2011 accident considering the decent sizes summaries given for the other accidents. As such, would it be better to split it into another article or look at how we can summarize it? I don't think we need all the details that are currently inside at the moment. Zhanzhao (talk) 06:42, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, people who fall on MRT tracks rarely survive and no family has ever sued SMRT before for negligence over such an incident, so this is a unique case. I would say summarize it as usual, remove sentences such as "The transport company said compensation would only be made after police have concluded their investigations." that does not add any significant info. Remove the statement about the PAP too, neutrality is best. Seloloving (talk) 12:33, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I was trying to figure out how to deal with that last line too, as the fact that the door was installed earlier was in direct response to the incident. Perhaps not identifying the person as a PAP representative should do the trick?Zhanzhao (talk) 14:01, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • If I were to drastically shorten it to my liking, this would be it: Seloloving (talk) 10:11, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

2011 accident[edit]

A 14 year old Thai teenager was seriously injured and lost both her legs after she fell onto the track and was hit by a train at Ang Mo Kio station on April 3 2011. [1]

In response to the accident, the station shall be fitted with Platform Screen Doors earlier than scheduled. [2]
