Dawn Chorus[edit]

Yo. The reason multiple sources are reporting Dawn Chorus as an unreleased Radiohead song is based on fan hype, which itself is sourced exclusively from this 2009 interview:

AV: Thom, ¿cual es tu cancion favorita escrita por ti para Radiohead? (Thom: What is your favourite song you wrote for Radiohead?)

Y: Pause. Whatever... I'm finishing at the moment. Um, there's one called "Dawn Chorus" I’m trying to finish at the moment: that's really great... I think.

I know the interviewer said "for Radiohead", but I don't think we should read too much into that or Yorke's reply here. There's no way of knowing if he really considered the track a Radiohead or solo song at this point - he said in another interview a few years later that deciding whether new songs were for Radiohead or side projects was a "grey area, getting greyer". I don't think the sourcing is strong enough to really make this claim.

As for the fact that Radiohead used it for a company name... I'm not absolutely opposed to mentioning this, but I worry that it's confusing without further explanation, and it doesn't seem important or even necessarily connected to the track. Popcornduff (talk) 09:17, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Further: as someone added a source suggesting that Dawn Chorus was played at a Radiohead soundcheck at some point, that too is based on fan speculation that proved baseless. The bootleged soundcheck recording has nothing to do with Dawn Chorus as far as anyone knows. Popcornduff (talk) 14:36, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
