Relevance of bail[edit]

It was added to the page that for cows an animal stall is called 'bail'. However, a bail is a framework in a cowshed used to secure the head of a cow. For example during milking or for cow treatment. I don't see how it is an enclosure in itself, at least not for housing that is. So if you want to mention it really requires more explanation than just stating it is called bail for cows. It is also explained on other wiki's so maybe that is bit excessive https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Livestock_crush

In addition, one or few animal housing options for cows extent beyond 'bails' (for example igloos).

Merge with Market stall[edit]

I suggest Market stall to be merged into Stall (enclosure). I could have just merged these articles, I guess. But the interwikis are different in the two articles, and I have no idea what those Japanese and Chinese links mean. Any suggestions?

On the whole I'd say don't merge. I've removed the merge tags - no takers since FebJohnbod (talk) 16:10, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Differs from Anbindestall[edit]

An de:Anbindestall is a subclass of an animal stall where each animal is bound by a chain or other mechanics to an individual feeding place. Also the opposing forms like a Schweinebucht oder Ferkelkäfig are animal stalls. Even a free running Laufstall can have single animal stalls for offering partly separated sleeping places.
