Only?[edit]

Do we have a citation for the only claim? Forgive me but I'm a bit skeptical that there is only one Orthodox synagogue in the entire state. At minimum, aren't there chabads? JoshuaZ 07:29, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is the only Orthodox synagogue in Kentucky. Kentucky ain't no New York or Jerusalem. If you look at the Orthodox Union's synagogue listing for Kentucky (the vast majority of Orthodox synagogues in the US are affiliated with the OU) you'll only see Anshei Sfard listed. There may be a couple of small Chabad centers (in fact the Rabbi of AS is the regional director of it, if you see the short bio in the AS website), but a Chabad center is not exactly a synagogue. Trust me, Kentucky is really not the best place to be if you are interested in Judaism (trust me, I know). Noogster 01:47, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nashville[edit]

Isn't Nashville served by Sherith Israel? I would suspect that Anshei Sfard gets more attendees from Lexington than Nashville. Nightkey (talk) 22:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
