Where has the bulk of this article gone? It was highly informative. I am currently doing a cookery course and was finding this page very useful. I am unsure as to why this has been edited —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.106.32.151 (talkcontribs).

If you look at the article's history, you'll see that the text was largely removed by Phorque. You may wish to ask him what happened. --bjh21 21:50, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed[edit]

As far as I can see, most of the recent edits to this article are utter lies (to the extent that they're meaningful at all). In particuler, I'd dispute everyting about "Lorronce", "SinJon" (Lawrence St John?) "Saddington", and "Sloan". Personally, I blame Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School. --bjh21 20:14, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree entirely - leave the page alone, most of the recent edits have been beneficial and enlightening. Can I ask your credentials in dismissing the article as 'utter lies'? --DannyK 20:47, 22 March 2006 (BST)
I don't need credentials, I just need Wikipedia:Verifiability. A quick Google, while revealing the existence of Apas, doesn't give any indication that "SinJon" is a Filipino hors d'oeuvre, that "Lorronce" is a Filipino flavouring, that "Saddington" is the effect of eating Apas dipped in coffee (it appears to be a village in Leicestershire), or that a "Sloan" is a type Irish delicacy. It's possible that all of these are true nonetheless, but as Wikipedia:Verifiability says, "The burden of evidence lies with the editors who have made an edit or wish an edit to remain." I'll reinstate the {{disputed}} tag, since if nothing else I dispute the article's accuracy. --bjh21 13:55, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All said here is entirely correct looking at the issue at hand from a certain point of view. Hats off to the authors —The preceding unsigned comment was added by EazyE (talkcontribs).

APAS[edit]

Personally I absolutely agree with everything on this page, I am filipino and i have knowledge of Apas, sinjon and lorronce, and I am sure that Saddington and sloane are also accurate. May I ask who BJc21 is, why he feels he knows best because of google and why he suspects the boys at Haberdasher's Aske's boys' school, who I am sure are perfectly nice chaps and who wouldn't do anything at the expense of any fellow called sinjon or Lawrence. Ah, someone who actually knows! Could you add some references to the article (see Wikipedia:Verifiability for guidelines) so that anyone not from the Philippines can confirm the truth (or at least the consensus behind) the article? I don't think who I am is relevant here, but my reason for suspecting Haberdashers' Aske's is that the IP address responsible for many of the dubious edits, User:195.40.4.49 also made some spurious and rapidly-reverted edits to Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School at the same time. --bjh21 01:00, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for adding some references, in particular for taking the time to research sloan. --bjh21 10:19, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
