Sources[edit]

It is probably a good idea to state the sources/references you used to compile this list. --Abnn 01:47, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I used the wikipedia article on local and regional councils of Israel's districts as my sources. Basically every locality that was Arab, i Included in the list. However with some especially in the Haifa District I used [1] -- Al Ameer son -- 2 June, 2007 13:33 (UTC)

Neutrality disputed: East Jerusalem and Golan, parts of Israel?[edit]

I notice "Israel" seems to include Golan and East Jerusalem here, which is not entirely NPOV to claim. Particularly the map should be changed to reflect the fact that these regions are not parts of the internationally recognized Israel proper. MeteorMaker (talk) 21:06, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to change the map, but as for East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, since Israel has "officially" annexed those territories despite the international illegality of doing so, we should just add a note stating that they are under Israeli sovereignty, but claimed by the Palestinian Authority or Syria and that the UN doesn't recognize Israel's control over them. That's pretty much it. --Al Ameer son (talk) 21:35, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I just noticed that I added that info already so I don't see any use of the POV tag. --Al Ameer son (talk) 21:38, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I can take care of the map. I don't see your note, but I guess it's quite far down somewhere. Such a note should have a very prominent position, or else we make it appear as if WP endorses the annexations. MeteorMaker (talk) 02:38, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, no I mean the paragraph in the respectable sections states the circumstances of their annexation and that no government recognizes Israeli sovereignty of those territories. You could add to it if you feel its necessary. --Al Ameer son (talk) 03:05, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Separate Tel Aviv from Center District?[edit]

When you look at "Center District" in the Wikipedia-article ([2]) you see the following: "The majority of the Center District's Arab population live along or near the Green Line which separates Israel from the West Bank... there are approximately 25,000 Arabs inhabitants in the Jaffa area of Tel Aviv-Yafo, comprising 6.8% of the city's total population". I don't think we shall include the statistic of Tel Aviv District with the statistic of the Center District when the The Central Bureau of Statistics (Israel) doesn't do that. If you look at the following link: [3] you can see that the CBS separate Tel Aviv District from the Central District.

Should we start separate the both districts or not? Any comments? —Preceding unsigned comment added by IRISZOOM (talkcontribs) 23:01, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Questions and suggestions to improvements[edit]

Great article. Really informative. It holds the highest standard of Wikipedia articles.
1. There are very few crosses, does that mean that there really are that few towns with christians? Or that cross marking has not been finished?
2. As far as I've understood the only arab centre in the Tel Aviv region is the Al-Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa. Or are there others?
3. Your map is ten year old, you should make a new map for 2010. Since the arab population has been on the rise this decade, several districts should probably be coloured one step darker.
