"In 1910 it was the biggest town in Transylvania with 61,000 inhabitants." --- removed: was neither a town in Transylvania nor the biggest ;)

Oradea had 69,000 inhabitants according to 1910 census, of course Oradea was not a Transylvanian city either...--fz22 18:45, 22 August 2005 (UTC)

Evangelical or Lutheran

Though Evangelical is also correct in a sense, Lutheran is probably more accurate here. In current American usage, Evangelical is mostly used to denote adherents of Evangelicalism.--Tamas 19:56, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Intro paragraph

"It is also the seat of a Romanian Orthodox bishop, (...) a Romanian Orthodox theological seminary, a training school for teachers, and a music conservatory."

This sentence seems to me completely wrong, or outdated at least. (Taken from the 1910 Britannica, maybe?) I am thinking of removing it completely, so if anyone knows for sure that some of the affirmations there are correct, please let me know.Benczur 23:43, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Three years later, that sentence still exists but Benczur not. Here's a question: why, with so many beautiful and interesting non-Orthodox churches in the city, the opening paragraph still mentions only the lame Orthodox Church? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.25.182.82 (talk) 12:35, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Flag

This is not the flag of the city. It is the flag of the county. The current flag of the city is also yellow but featurse a single sine line plecad in the middle. At the very center of the flag one can also see the coat of arms of the city. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.137.105.196 (talk) 08:24, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

name

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_%28geographic_names%29

"The title can be followed in the first line by a list of alternative names in parentheses: {name1, name2, name3, etc.}. "

Hungarian name is not an alternative name, but the same name —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iaaasi (talkcontribs) 16:43, 4 March 2010 (UTC) "Relevant foreign language names...are permitted and should be listed in alphabetic order of their respective languages, i.e., (Armenian name1, Belarusian name2, Czech name3). or (ar: name1, be: name2, cs: name3). As an exception to alphabetical order, the local official name should be listed before other alternate names if it differs from a widely accepted English name."--19:34, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

That is a sub-category in the article about "alternative names":

(Armenian name1, Belarusian name2, not (Armenian name1, Belarusian name1, (Iaaasi (talk) 19:50, 4 March 2010 (UTC))

Is it notable enough?

On 28th of July a terrifying twister had occured in Arad. [1][2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.190.194.119 (talk) 22:25, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Well there is a valid reference (realitatea newspapers). Unfortunately youtube isn`t really a reliable source. I see you did`t tried to insert this info. I will add it now. Adrian (talk) 19:10, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

This is a Romanian city not a Hungarian city.

All names have to be in Romanian who are the largest part of population. Readder (talk) 17:20, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Like it or not, many places (not only in Romania - or populated by Romanians) have a long history as a part of the Hungarian state. I don`t see why is this a problem? Also there are various consensus, rules on wikipedia that regulates the usage of alternative names (in this case Hungarian). Analyze other articles and if you need any help don`t hesitate to ask. Greetings. Adrian (talk) 18:57, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

TBAN

@Moxy: Cristina neagu has been topic banned from Romania and Romanians. I think she just violated the ban. Tgeorgescu (talk) 09:21, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

Moxy is your also user, Tgeorgescu? Or a friend helping you? Because Moxy removed my work saying he is restoring. I just put back the Antiquity section on history, which was previously inserted by me before my TBAN. Christina (talk) 09:26, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
Since when it's ok to remove my paragraphs? Christina (talk) 09:30, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
I have reported it to WP:ANI. It seems that you're really doing your best to get blocked. Tgeorgescu (talk) 09:46, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
Yup topic banned editor adding POV ediits with no sources....it's why I removed the edits. The fact that she thinks four different editors are sock puppets.... instead of different editors all concerned with the same point of view edits with 0 sources it's very concerning.--Moxy (talk) 15:29, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
