Contentious statement in "Distribution" section[edit]

The unsourced statement "They arrived in Australia from the landbridge created 45,000 years ago due to the receding ocean levels during the last glacial period, but the probable 'native' environment in prehistory was Indonesia" must be considered to be highly inaccurate (if not pure conjecture) for at least two reasons: First, plants whose seeds are distributed by birds do not depend on land bridges to expand their range, especially in this region where there are numerous islands connecting Indonesia and Australia that can be reached by the birds within hours or minutes. Secondly, if this did indeed come from Indonesia, where are the parents? Archontophoennix does not exist naturally in that country. I propose that this statement be deleted, but I'll wait for some discussion first. If there is no response here by 1st June, I'll remove it.  Junglenut |Talk  08:44, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
