Bogus history[edit]

Linking the name Archuleta with 9th-century Berkshire seems the most absurd of the etymologies on this page. The attribution of the name to Basque origins is probably correct, but the English attribution is surely a myth. The source cited is patently bogus--complete with a supposed English coat of arms belonging to the name--totally ridiculous. If this is typical of other name pages cited to that source, then a lot of similar pages need cleanup. This ought to be referred to a genealogy or patronyms expert for verification. Thanks for telling, I'll edit the article now. kotakkasut 12:21, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the cu tag from here as it seems OK to me, and I have contacted the editor who added it. If ayone thinks it still needs a clean-up, please edit it / add your concerns here and re-tag it, and I'll look at it again. Thanks, Boleyn2 (talk) 11:04, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
