Note: The item pertaining to the Arion Band's status as the longest continually-established community band has been removed until further notice. The article which contained the reference was a Baltimore Sun article from 2002, I have been unable to locate it and would appreciate help.

The Allentown Band, Allentown PA claims continuous existance since 1828. While skeptics may question this, even the most skeptical will admit a start date of 1851, as they can document who theire conductor was every year since then.

So the Arion Band will not be able to claim longest continuous community band. Contracts on your 132 years of existance, and best wishes for 150 and beyond. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.79.30.245 (talk) 00:23, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
