Pronounciation?[edit]

How should one pronounce Arthur Erdélyi's surname? (I think we should be told ...) Hair Commodore 14:58, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I had a chat with a Hungarian who remarked that the original form of the GIven name would be Artur rather than Arthur. Also - to anglophone ears and eyes a reasonable approximation to the pronounciation is: Er-day-lee 13:18, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Hair Commodore (talk)I caan't render this in IPA.

Education[edit]

"Erdélyi was a Jewish person, so it was difficult for him to receive a university education in his native Hungary." Any reference from Erdélyi? Otherwise its false, some Hungarian-Jewish scientists from Hungary in that time: Pál Erdős, János Neumann, Jenő Wiegner, Leo Szilárd, Ede Teller, Tódor Kármán, Alfréd Rényi, Dénes Gábor... the list is long. --Fehér János aka Aries (talk) 00:49, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
