Untitled[edit]

Should this be removed? Artie Kornfeld (also spelled Kornfield or Cornfeld) ...Artie only spells his name Kornfeld. Sometimes other people misspell it. Honeybells 01:46, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Issues in article[edit]

This article needs drastic rewriting, as it consists far too much of lengthy lists of credits and is not adequately sourced. --JohnnyB256 (talk) 23:24, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I don't know what happened, but now there are almost NO credits! It says: "By 1966, Kornfeld had written over 75 Billboard charted songs and participated in over 150 albums." Unless the Changin' Times were a heckuva lot more popular than I think they were, not one of these 75 charted songs is listed. Jeri Southern (talk) 01:06, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I also find the boosterism distasteful--"Kornfeld's persistence, energy, enthusiasm and foresight is what kept Freddie Weintraub(Warners Bros)aggressively pursuing the Woodstock movie project. In a legendary thirty hour period, a contract was hammered out between Artie Kornfeld, the VP of Business Affairs of Warner Bros and Freddie Weintraub." Worse than that - quite a bit of the infodump in the article seems to be straight fr omKornfeld's resume on http://www.artiekornfeld-woodstock.com/resume.htm Grutness...wha? 13:01, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken the liberty of removing most of the content that was simply copied from Kornfeld's resume page and dumped in the article. I've also removed some of the more outrageous puffery ("he's one of the most respected blah, blah in the history of rock and roll", no source) and added some citation tags.
