Name section[edit]

The name of the river being referred to in the 'Name' section is not the Asahi River, in fact it is the Chubetsu River (or Chuubetsu, depending on the type of romanization you use). The Ainu word for river is 'pet' and this is usually represented as 'betsu' in place names given by the Japanese. The kanji for the river is: 忠別川, and there is an entry in the Japanese Wikipedia. I may try to fix this later, but have no time now, so if anyone else wants to step up - by all means. Northern Fox (talk) 01:36, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
