The Ordnance Survey, Norfolk County Council/ONS [1], not to mention the source actually referenced on this page [2], all seem unanimous that the parish name is plain Ashwellthorpe. And there is an article under that name that reflects this.

My suggestion is that, unless there is something missing, we should redirect this page to Ashwellthorpe, and fix up all links. Unless someone objects, I will do this in 7 days time. -- Chris j wood 20:09, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The parish changed name. [3] has "Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall" whereas the equivilant 2003 list only has "Ashwellthorpe". I am trying to find the document listing the namechange from ODPM's website but it is sucking at the moment. It will be somewhere off here in one of the "bulletin of changes".
