Dimensions?[edit]

What are the physical dimensions for the box? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.215.93.233 (talk) 07:54, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dimensions: 223×178×26 mm (without stand) It's in the article under Specifications. 75.69.160.252 (talk) 21:50, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Linux?[edit]

While Splashtop is Linux, I can only seem to find Windows XP EEE Boxes and even Asus's press release gives Windows XP as the only OS (see http://www.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=11854). Because of the lack of information on it, I'm not editing the article, but so far I have yet to see it offered with Linux. 208.192.71.106 (talk) 18:33, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Windows XP became available in France this Fall (don't know when exactly). The Linux version took more time to become available (maybe only December). Both versions are currently in stock at several prominent online retailers. They sell for the same price, the Linux versions having 2 GB of RAM where the Windows XP version only has 1 GB. 82.67.126.180 (talk) 06:02, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not entirely correct, I purchased the 202 linux version and it did not come with 2 GB of RAM, it came with 1 GB. Also it was $20 cheaper than the XP Home version. 70.251.114.216 (talk) 22:22, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The next Eee Box has been announced.[edit]

I noticed that too. Should the main picture be updated so it shows the new ASUS Eee Box EB1501?Xavier The Second (talk) 22:03, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are also the AMD/ATI e350 and e450 EEE Boxes. 72.192.120.241 (talk) 03:48, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Foreign pricing[edit]

I wonder why the UK specs box gives the price in what appears to be a foreign currency?Ian Tindale (talk) 23:31, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ASUS Eee Box or Asus Eee Box ?[edit]

The article's title and first sentence use different cases. What is the correct case ? Thanks ! Nicolas1981 (talk) 09:19, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DVI initialization problems with certain LCDs[edit]

I own a EEE Box 202 and there are problems with the DVI initialization with certain LCDs (mine included). You can read a little about it here. Asus released a bios update for this issue but it only corrected the problem on some of the LCDs not all of them.

EEE BOX B202 BIOS 0601. Enhance compatibility with certain LCD monitors.

So far the only work around is to use the DVI to VGA converter and plug your LCD in using VGA instead of DVI. I don't know if this should be in the article or not so I'm putting it here on the talk page. 70.251.114.216 (talk) 22:32, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DC power[edit]

The one B202 I have used had 12v DC input, not 19v as stated. Has anyone else seen this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.74.171.96 (talk) 23:15, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

newer versions[edit]

Shouldn't the Eee Box models (E201, E202, E203, E204, E206 and EB1006) be at least listed? Also, it will become increasingly difficult to maintain one list of specifications for all models. PizzaMan (talk) 15:36, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

EB1012P has USB3, but... not on all models![edit]

This page is wonderful and super-helpful! I was looking at the EB1012P, and it seems it has many variants: EB1012P-B022E, EB1012P-B015G, EB1012P-B0320. The Asus page touts the fast USB 3.0, but doesn't seem to explain that there is more than one model. Distinguishing models is important, though, because it seems that two of the variants do not have USB 3.

So here's what I found so far: perhaps once we have enough information we can merge it into the main page.
