Accuracy[edit]

User:Marshall Williams2 has removed much of the Rambot-generated content from this article, claiming it is inaccurate because the city is located solely in Cobb County, not partially in Cobb County and partially in Douglas County, as the article formerly claimed. Removing all of the information seems a bit hasty to me. Is there any reason to think that just because of the error in the county location, all of the information is incorrect? If not, I think we should restore it and correct just the information known to be incorrect. Jfire (talk) 20:54, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The reference to Douglas County was added in this edit, and the other information was present before then, so presumably correct. So I'm going to revert Marshall's change. Jfire (talk) 20:59, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like User:Mhking has beat me to it. Jfire (talk) 21:00, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've just reverted Marshall's change; I used to live in Austell, and now live in unincorporated Cobb County nearby, and can verify that much of the information is accurate, though the city of Austell is NOT located in Douglas (the county line makes up the southern city limits of Austell) County. --Mhking (talk) 21:02, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The census bureau uses its own designations, which do not always coincide with the legal limits. Thus, the census statistics may not match the exact geographical location. There may be other reasons as well. -- RM 20:05, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
