Players striked off[edit]

This is not a strange, this type of edit done in some cricket articles recently. I don't remember that exactly. 117.249.246.104 (talk) 17:55, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you see here, you can find out. Lugnuts (talk · contribs), you had already edit and gave your support to that article. Then why not you agree now. 117.249.246.104 (talk) 17:58, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, you're not making any sense. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 17:59, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, here you are edit that page but not make the strike. 117.249.246.104 (talk) 18:07, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Lugnuts: your was recently edited that two articles but not put -.117.249.246.104 (talk) 18:09, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I regularly follow cricket articles on wiki, you support that manual style at there, then why not support here.. 117.249.246.104 (talk) 18:15, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Lugnuts:, IP always changed. That means not the sock. When turn off the Computer/PC public IP always changed. 117.251.233.246 (talk) 12:18, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You're gaming the system by hopping IP accounts and making disruptive edits. You've offered no reason for your edits, and if you continue with the disruption either the page will be protected from IP edits or your IP range will be blocked. Or both. Please stop. Thank you. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 12:22, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If you protect the page that's more useful. ha ha ha ha ha :-D. 117.219.210.14 (talk) 12:29, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Meaning that you will be unable to edit and cause disruption to it. If you do indeed "regularly follow cricket articles on wiki" then I'm sure there are other articles you could actually help on. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 12:32, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If you observe the team for 1st and 2nd matches you can found the two players names in the team and Playing XI dude. 117.219.210.14 (talk) 12:31, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Then how can you strike off that two players .117.219.210.14 (talk) 12:31, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Lugnuts:, are you see the important discussion. Hope you can understood. 117.219.210.14 (talk) 12:33, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You are not making any sense. Why are you making those edits? Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 12:39, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Virat Kohli became the first person to hit 500 runs. The first person to hit 500 runs on day 1.

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. DRAGON BOOSTER 04:16, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

More Detailed Summaries?[edit]

I have seen on the pages for some other series that there are more detailed descriptions of the matches. I tried to add one such description but it was removed for inadequate sourcing. If done properly, do you think something like that could add to the page? (Viraajjay (talk) 22:30, 29 May 2017 (UTC))[reply]

The problem with the match summaries is they often, if not always, get bogged down with WP:OR and trivial detail. You'll need match reports, and plenty of them, from a wide number of sources (cricket sites, press reports from both Aus and Ind, etc), to make a half-decent attempt at writing it. I suggest if you do want to spend time and energy doing this, then draft up a match report in your sandbox first. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:33, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2016/17 Title?[edit]

@Lugnuts: Bit of a zombie post, but as far as I can see, this series was entirely within 2017. Shouldn't 2016 then be omitted from the article title?

There's a similar problem with the 2012/13 Series, unless I am mistaken.

Should we re-name them? DiamondIIIXX (talk) 12:32, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DiamondIIIXX: Short answer is: no. Longer answer - it's part of the 2016/17 cricket season, per WP:CRIC#STYLE, under the sub-heading for Seasons. See a very similar discussion that was closed today for the latest WBBL tournament. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:36, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
