AutoWeek's website[edit]

The link to autoweek's website seems to have broken. This link will work:

   http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/frontpage

This was due to the relaunch of this popular automotive enthusiast site. Check it out for latest car and motorsports news. Live coverage from the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS).

Umm, www.autoweek.com redirects just fine. --Vossanova o< 16:06, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposing new history section[edit]

Hello, the current History section of this article is lacking citations. I have compiled a brief history of Autoweek using multiple sources, which I have saved in my sandbox User:DetroitSteele/AwSandbox. As noted on my user page, I am an employee of Autoweek and aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. Because I have this conflict of interest, I would prefer not to make this direct edit myself. Would it be possible for another editor to review what I have put together and post the changes if you think it is better than the current history section? --DetroitSteele (talk) 19:20, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since you are likely now an ex-Autoweek employee, can you explain the recent direction to simply rehash press releases on electric cars as their primary output in the past 6 months? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.51.227.35 (talk) 02:47, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Proposing new section on Editorial Direction[edit]

I've put together a brief section on the Editorial Direction of Autoweek. One of the sources is a blog, but I inquired about this as a WP:RS and it appears to be fine since the author is an authority on the topic (published writer and former employee). You can find that discussion here - WP:RSN#Does_this_blog_qualify_for_an_expert_exception.3F. The proposed addition is located in my sandbox User:DetroitSteele/AwEditorialStyleSandbox. As noted on my user page, I am an employee of Autoweek and aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. Because I have this conflict of interest, I would prefer not to make this direct edit myself. Would it be possible for another editor to review what I have put together and post the changes if you think it would add to the quality of the current Autoweek article? --DetroitSteele (talk) 21:50, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New section for shopautoweek.com[edit]

In my ongoing effort to improve the Autoweek article, I have drafted another section about a website that Autoweek began last year. It can be found in my sandbox here - User:DetroitSteele/AWshopautoweekSandbox. As noted on my user page and other posts above, I am an employee of Autoweek Media Group so this is a section I would prefer to have another editor review and/or post. I am always open to feedback if it appears changes or additions are necessary. Thank You! --DetroitSteele (talk) 18:16, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Autoweek's Vinsetta Garage addition[edit]

I drafted a section to be added to the Autoweek article about their television show - Autoweek's Vinsetta Garage. It can be found in my sandbox here - User:DetroitSteele/AWVinsettaSandbox. As previously noted, I am an employee of Autoweek Media Group so this is a section I would prefer to have another editor review and/or post. I am always open to feedback if it appears changes or additions are necessary. --DetroitSteele (talk) 20:41, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Autoweek info box, intro and external link section[edit]

I made some edits to the infobox along with the intro section to add some references and update information that is currently inaccurate. It can be found in my sandbox here - User:DetroitSteele/AWAboutSandbox. I also made edits to the external links section to include the other Autoweek sites mentioned in the article - User:DetroitSteele/AWExternalLinksSandbox. As previously noted, I am an employee of Autoweek Media Group so this is a section I would prefer to have another editor review and/or post. If it appears changes or additions are necessary I'd be happy to hear feedback. --DetroitSteele (talk) 14:24, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Circulation Data for Autoweek[edit]

I noticed that Autoweek's circulation data is now listed by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (North America) and would like to add this data to the infobox. I have created an updated infobox in my sandbox at User:DetroitSteele/AWInfoBoxSandbox. Please comment if there are any concerns with this addition. If not, I will likely make the addition on Thursday or Friday of this week.

Autoweek 2013 updates[edit]

As of 2013, there have been a couple of changes within Autoweek. Their television show (Autoweek's Vinsetta Garage) is off the air, and their car-shopping site (shopautoweek.com) has merged with autoweek.com. I have made three proposed updates for the page that can be seen in my sandbox User:DetroitSteele/AWshopautoweek removal. The 3 edits are an updated final sentence of the opening section, adding a new sentence at the end of the History section, and removing links from the External Links section.

If someone could please make these updates for me, I would appreciate it as I have a conflict of interest.
