Alumni[edit]

More alumni are needed here. Surely a Playboy Playmate can't be the best (or only) example of achievement here.

How about listing the teacher who are working at the high school that went to the high school as students?

new addition added[edit]

Check out the new addition to the alumni. There are graduates around who have made more significant contribution than posing nude! I hope I entered it right as this was my first time EVER doing something like this.

Does ALHS have a hall of fame for other than sports? Csturgeo 19:03, 17 March 2007 (UTC)csturgeo[reply]

Carmella was Playmate of the Year. Former Browns and current Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia has been her boyfriend for a while. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.188.108.192 (talk) 19:09, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

School Hours Dispute - not any more ;)[edit]

Thanks, That's good... and bad (I have to go to school longer). I see it now don't worry about citing it. It's not disputed any more. That's the only thing I think was disputed. Good Job! and Thank You.

ALHSStudent--The hour change is posted on the school's website now also. It may or may not have been up when I changed the hours on 8/11. I'm not sure if I need to cite it or not since there's a link to the school's website on the page already. I'm going to clean up anything I can think of that might be an accuracy dispute and take off the dispute tag. If I missed something let me know ALHSbando 03:54, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The school hours are disputed for the 2006-07 school year. That is in 2005-06 the school hours were 7:45 AM - 2:52 PM. However because of the increasing student body the school size has grown causing the lunch room to have capacity problems. To solve this lunch times were cut in half. The 7:40 AM - 3:00 PM time may be a result of extra time required to change in the halls. Solution: 1) Cite the school newsletter and offer access to the information or 2) wait until August 28, 2006 when school starts and the offical times will then of course be obvious. We appoligize ALHSbando for all the times that you've had to change the times back but it would probably be best to do one of the previous things to end this dispute. ALHSStudent. The school hours are now 7:40 AM-3:00 PM. This was confirmed in the school newsletter that went out on 8/10. Please stop changing the school hours!!! ALHSbando 03:29, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake[edit]

I read the next day that the hours were changed. I only changed it once.

new hours[edit]

as of 2nd semester the hours are back to last years Alhs2012

principal[edit]

Everything is thrue about the principal i swear on the marching band success

who's that last guy on notable alumini[edit]

i've never heard of that doctor. it sounds like advertising to me Bobguy89 21:24, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletions from notable alumni[edit]

I cannot locate EagleFan who chose to edit out 3 people from the notable alumni. Adding the comment nonnotable alumni does not justify the removal. Eagle fan please comment further. Csturgeo 23:41, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Being a doctor does not make an alumnus notable. EagleFan 12:39, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is the criteria being applied here for notability? Does posing nude or playing football qualify you automaticaly? The 2 doctors additions did seem like advertising but how about a person who has distinguished himself by teaching and writing and being honored in his field of work? Why was that notable deleted?Csturgeo 23:24, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The criteria is simply to be well-known. The model and athlete are well known; so yes. This is not about honoring anybody either. Bobguy89 01:58, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"WELL-KNOWN" is relative. I am an educated and fairly well-informed adult who never heard of Trey Stross or Mike D'Andrea. How about someone in the arts? If we have an ALHS grad who has works in prominent museums and public buildings around the world and you are not informed about the arts, does that mean you can delete that person from Wikipedia as not "known". I have another possible candidate for notables, therefore I ask. I understand the concern that we have people posting websites that appear to be advertising but the same goes for Carmen who is also promoted for whatever she does by putting her on the list.Csturgeo 16:31, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Frequent Vandalism: On the Maturity of Today's ALHS Students[edit]

Please, stop the madness. Or is it Bay Village soccer moms doing the vandalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.195.201.237 (talk) 13:58, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
