"Melissa" written on her hand[edit]

Can someone please provide a reliable source that gives an explanation for why she (supposedly) had "Melissa" written on her hand? I've yet to see an explanation for this beyond the conspiracy theory. Providing a reasonable explanation for this would go a long way in debunking the conspiracy.
