I would like to request a move from Ayaka Nishiwaki to A~chan, in accordance to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people).

I have requested an opinion on this matter here:

  • Oppose as "A~chan" includes non-standard characters not used in English. --DAJF (talk) 11:04, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • For what it's worth, the Japanese article is under 西脇綾香 (Nishiwaki Ayaka), not あ~ちゃん (A~chan). Also, the tilde is commonly used in Japanese typography but is better represented by a hyphen in English. — AjaxSmack 03:27, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose "A~chan" is obviously a nickname. --supernorton 06:23, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose tilde is bad, "A-chan" would be the correct target. 70.55.89.214 (talk) 06:55, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
